This is my Family

Mark(Big Guy)~The love of my life. Took us long enough to find each other, but here we are. To say he is a good man is an understatement. He is a great man. We found each other when I was at a turning point in life, newly single and still licking my wounds. He came at the perfect time.

This picture was taken Christmas season 2010. We started one of our family traditions. Going to the forest and cutting down our own tree. This was a big sucker (not Mark, the tree, well Mark too) and he had a heck of a time dragging it back to the truck. I love tradition.

He is a rugged outdoors kinda guy. He loves fishing, camping, hiking and roughing it. My idea of roughing it, is no cable. He is patient and kind and one hell of a dad and boyfriend. From the outside, we may look a little mismatched, but we are mismatched in a perfect way. I cannot imagine life without him.

Mark Jacob Nickel(MJ)~This is who changed out life in a big way. He is very forward, independent, friendly, outgoing and sometimes instigator. I always thought having a child would be a drag and I would give up too much freedom. I was always too busy and did not want a kid. I guess that is what you tell yourself when you think it's not an option. There is a lot of compromising with your free time when you have a little rug rat, but what you get in return in priceless. He has changed my life in the most amazing way. It's no longer me. it's us and that feels great.
